Having been in the dodgier places of the Johannesburg CBD many times, I'm used to the piles of garbage, the smells and the garbage all over the place, but this was in a different league. Rubbish
Traders are forced to trade in very unhygenic conditions due to the build up of garbage in the Johannesburg CBD due to the Pikitup stike, 18 April 2011.

Swazi protest
COSATU members march the last few hundred meters to the Oshoek borderpost linking South Africa to Swaziland, 12 April 2011. They are protesting against the human rights abuses that happen in the country. The country is the only country in the world that still has an absolute monarchy.
